Vanguard IS NOT a Not-For-Profit Organization

…see conversation with a Vanguard employee, even Vanguard’s own employees do not know! And here this Motley Fool Article calls Vanguard a non profit  And see this article about TIAA CREFs not-for-profit status being revoked in 1998.

(From Vanguard Employee on Facebook post) Vanguard’s unique structure in shareholders “owning” the company qualifies for a status of not-for-profit company. In the 45+ years since Vanguard started, they have NEVER been a for profit organization. That statement in this article is inaccurate! Under its agreement with the funds, Vanguard must operate “at-cost”—it can charge the funds only enough to cover its cost of operations.

you are incorrect, even Joe DiStefano stated in several recent articles that Vanguard is a for profit company. Vanguard does not have nor have they ever had not for profit status. You will not be able to find code or backup your comment that ‘Vanguard’s unique structure in shareholders ‘owning’ the company qualifies for a status of not-for-profit,’ it’s a fallacy, never has been true, great marketing ploy but nothing legal to back it up, part of the smoke and mirrors sold over the decades. And I can assure you, I speak with confidence but most importantly I speak after researching hours upon hours on every single thing I post, and when it’s an opinion I let it be known, but this is not an opinion, it’s a fact.
